Project Definition & Feasibility
Route profile, passenger or vehicle capacity, speed, autonomy, operational hours, port interface, budget and timeline.
China-Based Marine Project Office
Dulunova Marine helps international shipowners, ferry operators, governments and project developers structure, source and execute marine newbuild projects in China.
We coordinate naval architects, shipyards, battery and propulsion partners, suppliers, classification support and on-site supervision.
The Challenge
Building a vessel in China can reduce cost and expand supplier options. But without the right project office, international clients face risks in technical alignment, shipyard selection, contract control, classification coordination, supplier qualification, communication and delivery supervision.
Dulunova Marine acts as a structured execution layer between international project owners and China’s shipbuilding and marine technology ecosystem.
What We Do
We are not a conventional broker. We operate as a project office coordinating the technical, commercial and operational steps required to move a vessel project from idea to execution.
Route profile, passenger or vehicle capacity, speed, autonomy, operational hours, port interface, budget and timeline.
Coordination with naval architects and marine engineers for concept design, basic design, detailed design and documentation.
Identification of suitable Chinese shipyards, RFQ preparation, proposal comparison and negotiation support.
Battery, propulsion, charging, power management, thermal management and safety coordination with qualified partners.
Main equipment, auxiliary systems, Chinese suppliers, documentation, inspection support and delivery coordination.
Milestone tracking, site reporting, quality control coordination, sea trials, handover documentation and after-sales support.
Vessel Focus
Dulunova Marine supports international clients developing newbuild and modernization projects for commercial, public transport, river, coastal and port-related operations.
City ferries, river ferries, island connections and short-route passenger operations.
Passenger and vehicle ferry projects for river, coastal and regional transport routes.
Battery-electric ferry concepts, charging coordination and operational energy profile support.
Diesel-electric, battery-assisted and transitional propulsion concepts for real-world operations.
Port support, service boats, technical transport, maintenance support and specialized vessels.
Vessels adapted to inland waterways, emerging markets and demanding logistics environments.
China Execution
We help identify and compare shipyards according to vessel type, technical capability, delivery schedule and commercial fit.
We coordinate the mapping and evaluation of propulsion, battery, auxiliary systems, equipment and fabrication suppliers.
We reduce friction between international requirements and Chinese execution through structured communication and documentation flow.
We support progress reporting, milestone follow-up, inspection coordination and issue escalation during construction.
Electric & Hybrid Marine
Electric and hybrid vessels require early alignment between route profile, energy demand, battery sizing, propulsion, charging infrastructure, safety requirements and classification.
Our Process
Every project is different. Our process gives international clients a controlled way to evaluate, source and execute marine projects in China.
Route, capacity, class, speed, energy profile, budget and delivery target.
Technical package, design partners, supplier map and procurement strategy.
Shipyard shortlist, RFQs, technical comparison and commercial negotiation support.
Project management, supplier coordination, construction follow-up and reporting.
Trials, documentation, handover support, after-sales coordination and next project planning.

About Dulunova
Dulunova Marine was created to help international clients access China’s shipbuilding and marine technology ecosystem with structure, technical coordination and commercial clarity.
Our role is to coordinate the project path: from early concept alignment and partner mapping to shipyard sourcing, supplier coordination, electrification partners, procurement and construction follow-up.
The name Dulunova is inspired by dùlún, the Chinese word associated with ferry boat, combined with nova: a new generation of marine projects executed through China’s industrial ecosystem.
